BK went first, selected by his hometown (sort of — he’s from Frederick) Baltimore Orioles with the 65th pick of the draft. Here’s what the Orioles’ official site had to say (mostly boilerplate scouting stuff), and if you scroll through the comments of this post, you can hear some of what the Baltimore faithful think — it’s mostly positive, but feel free to sign up and troll like hell if you read anything bad.
Taylor went in the fifth round (161st overall) to Seattle, joining Danny Hultzen, Steven Proscia and John Hicks in the Mariners system. The official site curiously says that CT is known “more for his defense than his offense.” CT’s a solid fielder, but don’t run that comment by the UVa bleacher bums, who can (and do) count errors Comments from Seattle fans can be found here.
Stephen Bruno went 224th to Chicago, joining up with the Cubs (on the wrong side of Chicago if you ask me, an avowed Sox fan). Official thoughts — which aren’t much on a seventh rounder — here. Bleed Cubbie Blue worries about his size and fielding percentage and revels in his hitting stats and Prospect League play here.
